This workshop is tailored for everyone who has an interest in learning more about yoga.
We’ll start by diving into the realm of yoga as laid out by Pantanjali’s eight-fold path (aka the Yoga Sutras), as it offers us guidelines for a meaningful and purposeful life.
Following Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras we will take a closer look at the 4th limb, pranayama. We will explore this powerful tool which bridges the space between the inner (mind) and outer world (body). Through our breath we live. The life force, prana, it provides is crucial if we want to physically stay alive but there is a whole other part to it which impacts our daily lives and overall well-being. Becoming aware of this part will change your whole perspective on why and how we breathe and potentially life itself.
After having looked into our breath, we will literally move our bodies through space with a challenging, strong in its nature, but accessible vinyasa practice. We’ll get out of our heads and feel our bodies from within.
Finally, we’ll take a moment to reflect and integrate what we’ve learned through the past hours. Closing the workshop with a meditation.
We will touch upon all these aspects through lectures (powerpoints will be provided) and practical exercises combined.
